Destro (Iron Grenadier)

Ah yes, as promised, the GI Joe character planned was the legendary gold masked "Iron Grenadier" Destro, another massive fave from my childhood, taking on this guise after splitting from Cobra to go it alone with his army of Iron Grenadiers. There's an awesome looking 25th anniversary GI Joe figure of this incarnation of Destro coming next month and I'm buying it as soon as I possibly can.

Hope you like it, I plan on doing my take on far more GI Joe characters in the near future, so if your a fan of the Joes (or Cobra), "Watch" me and stick around, I promise they'll make your head 'splode!

I lucked out when I spent my allowance on that goddamn Locust, then weeks later I find out that my great uncle, who owned a Home Hardware, had in his store Destro and his Despoiler! FFFUUUUU!!!

oh definately, I had to call in all the favours I had just to track down the 25th anniversary toy of him, AND HE NOW SITS PROUDLY ON MY MANTLEPIECE. :P

I remember this version of Destro from the old NES game and the 1st season of the DiC cartoon. This version of Destro is pretty much the best ever. Noble and imposing. So is your artwork of him.:thumbsup:

I have the 25th Anniv. figure standing on my desk right now.:D It may not have a Despoiler, but it seems nobody remembered that vehicle anyway.

yah, i agree, best version of Destro, hands down. The 25th figure is a thing of beauty, the only figure I seriously hunted down :-P I'm happier they ignored the Despoiler, as I wouldn't have been able to afford it that way, heh. 3 cheers for vehicle-less IG Destro!!! xD
