Was trying to get in on that 6 months for $20 thing for the past 2 days before it expires at noon today.  Guess I'm too late.  Keeps giving me an "autobill" error and wont go through.  From what I've read I'm not the only one who's had this problem over the years.

I really, really don't want to go without a subscription and they wont let me throw my money at them.

FFFFUUUUUUUU

Not sure if that helps but I had problems paying as well a couple of months ago. However even though I was not able to pay directly for the reneval I was able to buy those deviant points you can use as internal currency. So I just bought the points and paid the reneval with them. For some reason that worked fine.

Couldn't by the points either, still gave me the same autobill error :(  I can always try again now that the sale is over, but it really doesnt seem to like either of my credit cards :(

Weird that they have so much trouble with their payment system. I would have thought making sure people can buy their stuff would be Deviantart's first priority.

Can you wait until after it expires and redo it? I'm sorry if that sounds stupid, I'm not familiar with the process.

Wouldn't make a difference, plus I missed out on the cheap sale.  If it wont take my credit card it wont work even if I had the money for the full price one after it expires (which it has now, lol)

I still have over a year of Core left on my account but I also tried to buy it because it would have been cheaper, it also did not work for me. I tried it two times with my new creditcard it kept telling me that the adress is wrong or that there are not enough funds on the card *huh* That is a credit card a new one!!! Well then no money from me for the moment.

Yeah, I got "number wrong", "address wrong" and a ton of just "autobill not created" errors.  Sucks :(

Core ends in 5 days for me.  Guess I'll have to put up with a crappy front page until January-ish and figure something out.  Might have to trade for commissions again like last time if I can't get my credit card to work, lol

Hi there! You mentioned "autobill"...

This is probably a stupid question, and I'm sure you already checked this, but for the sake of covering all the bases...did you turn off the automatic renewal on your account before attempting to purchase the new subscription? Just to make sure it's not conflicted?

I'm considering renewing my subscription on my other account (the one I barely use, go figure), so I hope I don't have a similar issue...

No autorenew, this last year's sub was gifted to me, anytime I click on the rebilling section to buy a recurring subscription it just takes me to the sale page and back to square one.  I have no idea :(

What browser are you using? Sounds like occasional Chrome behavior. Try cleaning cookies/history/etc, then restart browser. If you're not using Chrome, try the same method w/your browser, or try another browser. If that doesn't work, let me know 'cause I'm curious. =)

Tried, none of that worked either :(  even gave it a whirl with Firefox, which is a fresh install I haven't really used (just for backup), still same error :(

Ahh, okay then. At least we ruled out browser issues. ;)

Hope you get it fixed. I was going to purchase one, but I had to order a pizza tonight, so there went my subscription money, LOL.

Keep us posted!

lol yeah, my Core ends in 5 days, I'll have to suffer a limited front page until January or so.  I might have to trade for commissions with someone who's having no problems with it like I did last year if I can't get my credit card to work in the new year either, lol

Definitely not the only one, though this year I've seen a *lot* more than usual. I'm thinking it has something to do with how expensive core member ship has gotten. They got a much larger rush than expected and it overloaded the system. Or they just screwed up the code as usual. Both are probable in my book.

That definitely sounds about right, gonna be one or the other, can't see it being anything else :(

I know for sure its not my credit card, especially since BOTH of them didn't work, lol.  Addresses are up to date, nothings been locked down, both are literally empty so they aren't maxed out.  Weirdness.

I've had the same problem. I've tried to extend my Core membership with either the direct renewal or by points with my credit card (which is good) and get error codes. Send two help desk requests this week, no answer yet.

I hope things work out for you.

It's frustrating to say the least. I wish they had a customer service number one could call for these types of issues.

At least we're not alone with this issue.

Agreed completely.

Yeah, at least its not just an individual problem, I wonder how many others have had the same issue.

I'm glad I read your journal entry. It was a relief of sorts to know others are having this same issue. I was really frustrated at what I could have been doing wrong.

Here's hoping something can be done before the deadline at midnight Pacific time. Maybe they should extend this promotion.

I just bought points with my card and used the points to get the subscription, didn't have a problem. The point rate this time around is fair, rather than the usual $1=100 thing

If you have paypal hooked up to your card and/or money sitting on a paypal, that also works for points since the transfer will be instant. Sadly that's about all my ideas :'D Hopefully they either get back to you quickly, or still allow the promo when they DO get back to you since it's an issue on their end

Giving it a whirl, sent a thingy through help desk, but I'm pretty sure I'll a) miss the deadline and b) everything I've read with people having this error was told to make sure your card is working, etc.  So I dunno.
